Default Oh Sheep!

I entered my pickup in a "fun" car show last weekend. This was not a car show for prize money or trophies, but just to have fun! I think that this guy could teach us a thing or two about having "fun" in a car show.

You need to understand that his pickup was a "working" pickup, not some pickup that would be entered for fine points. Wrong color, wrong wiring colors running everywhere, cracked windshield, and I think that it was only running on two cylinders most of the time.

This was not a car show in some small town out in the country. This was down town La Paz, Mexico, the capitol of the state of Baja California Sur, the largest city in BCS with a population of maybe 300,000 people.

It was a two day event with a car parade through the down town part of the city the first day/evening, and the cars on display the next day in the most desirable location in the city.

Ok, enough background, now for the pictures..........

Yes, that is a real life sheep, or probably more accurately, a lamb. The pickup owner said the he had just grabbed it out of the hills and brought it to town. He called it his "automatic car alarm" because if the people pestered it too much it would go Baaaaa!

The kids loved it!! They would climb up into the back on the pickup and feed it one stalk of alfalfa at a time.

His pickup got more attention than any other vehicle in the show!!!

Good stuff. He gets top marks from me. I feel cars should be used, and that's just what he is doing.
Show cars are great if that's your passion but I beleive they should be used not just be kept as a show piece.
Giving so much joy to those kids by letting them up onto the back of the truck. Just remember these kids will be the custodians of our vehicles in the future so it is important that we foster their interest now.
I congratulate him.
