Default SS mufflers

I recently blew out the muffler on my 24 T and replaced it with a Ss muffler. The engine worked quite well before i installed the SS mufler, now the engine seems like it has no power. Is it possible there is to much backe pressure with the new muffler?

Maybe a rodent set up shop in the new muffler. You could unhook it and see if it runs better.
