Default Front Axle Markings

How does one tell the difference between an "A" axle and an "AA" axle? I have one that has "AA" markings on it and when matched to the axle that I removed it looks 1" - 1 1/4" shorter but when measuring center to center on the the King Pin Holes they are within 1/16".

Does anyone have printed specifications available for the front axle that would care to share?

the early A`s and double A`s used the same front axles, then they went to bigger king pins, so if it is marked AA check the king pin holes

The AA and EE are engineering designations for the type of metal used.
