Default Tim Johnstone is very ill

If you are an owner of a Model A Station Wagon, you probably know the name Tim Johstone. Tim is probably the top authority in the nation on the Model A Station Wagon and for over 40 years has published "Woody Wagons" the newsletter of the Special Interest Chapter of MAFCA on Model A Station Wagons. I recently received a letter from his wife Mel, stating that Tim was very ill and not able to write the "Woody Wagon" newsletter. For the short time that I have own a Station Wagon project it was so great to know that someone like Tim was there to answer all of our many questions. Please join me in thanking Tim for his great service to our hobby and please keep Tim, Mel, and family in your prayers. With TOTAL GRATITUDE, Al Lugo.

Sorry to hear that. Hope he gets well. Have known him for many years and used to converse at national meets. Roger Van Houten

Several weeks ago when I was in Michigan, I understood Tim was in hospice at that time.

Al, you are correct in that Tim has been a great ambassador to the hobby as a whole, -and a true gift to the 150-A/B community. I personally feel blessed as I have judged under him in several areas (Wipers in French Lick, Headlights in San Diego, and something else that escapes me at the moment) ...and what was so neat was Tim as a Team Captain actually took the time to make notes, charts, and points of interest from the Standards for each of us to use as visual aids when we were judging. He wanted everyone on his team to know, -and understand exactly what we were adjudicating. When we judged under him, Tim was very thorough and fair. Sometimes maybe a little too through as he knew details that were not covered in the Stds., -however he was very fair and listened to his 'understudies' thoughts and allowed all of our votes to affect the scoring of each vehicle. The Johnstone family will definitely be in my thoughts & prayers.
