Default Spammers at it, AGAIN

I know this is not a new subject - but here we are again.

I posted on the Wanted section of this board that I am looking for the Book by Gordon Bigger titled "RESTORING THE MODEL A & B CARBURETOR THE REX REHEIS WAY"

It wasn't long before I received a PM response from jimsteven02 on this board that I should email partworld02@gmail - that he had a copy. I emailed, and he stated he had a copy for the mere pittance of $150. Of course I declined his offer, at which time the price immediately dropped to $50. Looking very suspicious I saw that his Ford Barn join date was Nov 2020 with no posts.

Next I received a second PM from another 'seller' Toys1200, also join date Nov 2020 with no posts, who had a "spare copy to sell". He was creative and sent me a picture of the book from a 2011 technical document on performance tuning from Twin Cities Ford Model A Club.

Can we delete these spammers from the board ?

I hate to ask here rather than on the wanted forums, but does anyone have a copy they would sell or loan.

Same thing happened to me on a wanted ad
All they do is change identity and names
You can delete them but they still be coming under another guise

If that is so, all those people who have been banned could simply change name and come back, yet they don't. Maybe Ryan blocks their IP address somehow.

Just a little tip here.
A Spammer is someone who posts worthless posts. (Spam)
A Scammer is a Crook or a Thief. (SCAM)

Same thing happened to me in the early v8 section. Two pms. from different members who had just joined and had zero posts. Both wanting me to email someone who had the part. Did not respond and reported the posts and they were removed from my pms.

<--- Right over there. Bottom left corner. Click it and report what''s wrong with the post.

Can’t you just buy the book from one of the venders, or thru the internet?

It’s a excellent book on the Model A carburettor. Maybe get somebody to photocopy it for you. Too far for me to post. Dave

I always wanted a copy of that book. Will it ever be printed again?
