Default 6 volt electric radiator fan

Does anyone know who sells an 6 volt electric radiator fan that you mount on front of radiator. Can many 12 volt but no 6 volt. It is for 1953 Ford.

You could possibly use a heater fan motor from the car since it would be 6 volt and easily attainable.

Unfortunately, a heater motor isn't going to have the torque necessary to move the mass of a radiator-type fan. DD

Donald,
There are several vendors that offer 6 volt fans. Speedway, Summit, Jegs etc. Just google "6 volt electric radiator cooling fans."

For installation on my '53 Crestline victoria, it was necessary to loosen the mounting bolts, so I could angle the the radiator rearward, to gain clearnace to position the fan.

One other comment. The front mounted fan did not provide enough cooling by itself in warm weather. A rear mounted fan is better. Best is the original fan.

If you run an electric fan you better find a 6 volt alternator
that charges at idle speeds. G.M.

I bought one that I found on internet. 6 volt and like G.M. says use an alternator. I have no problems and only use it if I get stuck in traffic.
