Default pulling 8ba in '53 Ford-done

Last week I posted regarding questions about pulling the engine in the '53. Several suggestions were posted. I decided to disconnect the block from the clutch housing, rather than disconnecting the housing from the transmission. The advice about using the two openings in the trans shield to access the screws at the top of the housing made it relatively easy. Thanks to all who offered suggestions.

Richard

Great. It's great when things work out.

Seth, I hadn't expected to be doing this again....I'm no spring chicken. That said, if the reinstallation goes well (following a rebuild by a very good builder) I'll be glad I did it!
All the best, richard

Great job Richard . . . just take your time and there will be a BIG SMILE on your face when you put that new flathead in and go for your maiden voyage!

I am putting together a 59A engine now. I had an unexpected problem with another engine too. I guess we'll chock it up to just part of the fun of this hobby. Take care Richard.
