Fender question
We have two questions about the 180-A and generally Model A. Our 180-A has I mean Snyders reproduction fenders on it and now there currently sells a guy in Germany original fenders of his 1930 Model A Tudor. Could we use these fenders to get our car back to use original parts or are the rear fenders not the same and how can I tell it is a original or reproduction fender? Hope you can help us with our questions.
Thanks, Alex |

One of the easiest ways to tell an original rear fender from a repro is look at the rolled edge around where the rear fender bracket attaches. If the wire in the edge has the sheetmetal wrapped around the wire the entire length, then it is repro. If it is scaloped, then it is likely an original. Also the reinforcement bracket near the running boards is stamped differently on the repro. |
