Default 1952 ford f1 draglink

I was having some steering play issues so...... I disconnected the drag link, noticed my pitman arm ball was shaped like a almond, not round...so I ordered a new Draglink since the spring was broke....the new one has 4 ball cups but my old one only used 3,I looked at an assembly (ford) had online they used 4 also but couldn't,t get 4 in and screw in the cap,any help ???

Each side is assembled differently. The ends of the drag link are different on each side. Make sure you have cups and springs in the right order.

The spindle ball on the front, there is no way you could get 2 spring cups on and tighten the end screw in,the one I took off had only one harden spring cup on which wasn't right.............The spindle ball is soft but you need harden cups on each side....just as the ford diagram had!!
