I was the one that originally started this thread. Per the instructions in this thread, I replaced the 6v bulb with a 12v bulb and the light is bright enough to light the speedometer, but is not so bright that it causes the excessive reflections the bright 6v bulb did. Thank you for the idea everyone...

Carl, This is the LED I used for my dash light in my Town Sedan. Available 12v. It is forward firing so the cover defuses the light some. I use the natural white one, not as harsh as the cool white. Appears they are out of stock, tho.
