Re: Shock arms
I think the shorter one is model A but the long one i don't know. It is about eight inches long and has no numbers on it only has a diamond shape with a S in it.

Re: Shock arms
The longer one is to long for a Model A rear arm. Maybe a 33 or34

Re: Shock arms
33-34's have a tight 90 degree bend at ball end with the ball as part of the forging.

Re: Shock arms
Original Model A arms have a flange next to the ball on the end which is absent starting with the '32 arms.

Re: Shock arms
V8COOPMAN It looks like the Model A is very early before they figured out the arm would hit the body and as near as I can see in the ID chart you sent it could be a 36 arm. JMO

Re: Shock arms
With respect, Model A shocks were mounted on the outside of the frame so there was no danger of a rear straight arm hitting the frame as the arms are attached with the ball ends facing outward, not inward. '36 arms had no integral ball ends and no Ford shock arm had a flange behind the ball end after 1931 As.

Re: Shock arms
DavidG The Model A front arm is very early before the bent ones. I mentioned it would hit the body of the shock it's self. I don't know about the longer one as yet. Thank you for your intrest. Jim T.
