Default Hoyt ammeter #44 for Ford

I got this NOS meter in the box for $9 including postage. Hoyt was a Ford supplier and still in business today. All correct face, needle, nickel plating and design. Sure looks nice. Original at left for comparison.

Nice. Looks like the original is still 'charging' just sitting there!

Nice find.
You can easily center the needle of the original meter, but you have to work with care because the needle material is so thin.

I found that the older Balkamp ammeter is also a nearly perfect match. The bezel is black so using an original bezel cures that. Easy to do. So far I have only bought one of them, but have seen afew of them sell on ebay relatively cheap. Rod

I thought that the originals, on the back of the meter, were all flat with no stiffener rib?
