These are for the Original type correct?
Not the newer ones from 1970's.

Correct.

I could not tell from the photo online if this set includes the adjustable (screw-in) point that goes opposite the points arm. Has anyone used these that can confirm?

Thanks.

I am using a set of these points.

They came with the original style screw-in opposing contact and a small capsule of cam lube.

And open the box before you get out your wallet...the tiny stationary point can easily weasel its way out past the flaps leaving you with a brand new half set.

As 1955cj5 said. They come with everything including a small capsule of lube. I purchased two sets to have a spare. I found they didn't align well without modifying the upper plate. I had to adjust the points every 80 miles as the wear block was wearing down making the point gap too close, causing poor starting and running. Tried two sets with same outcome. Have others had good luck?

Points requiring adjustment after 80 miles is absolutely ridicules. I bought one set from O' Reilly and returned them the next day. Made in China and completely junk. NAPA cost more and are of good quality even if made in Mexico. (Standard)

China parts. Pure junk.

Mexican made parts, pretty good quality stuff from my experiences. Most Motorcraft electrical stuff comes from Mexico as does John Deere's electrical components. Never had a problem with any of them.

Luck of the draw I guess...

Yes, the ones I have are made in Mexico too. Same box that 1955cj5 has. I would still like to find some that are good and will hold up. Meanwhile, I switched over to the modern points set up by changing the upper and lower plates.

Mine have been in there for a few hundred miles....but sometimes I just go out in the garage and check this and adjust that, and the points may have been re-set.

I did buy a new distributor cam. My old one was a little rough and worn...

The good ones are A123 and you can get them under the "Standard" name FD1718. I think the standard brand might be NAPA. Both are good quality with a great wear block.

For what it's worth, Rock Auto carries Model A points made by Standard and A/C Delco.
