Default 1953 Ford Differential Oil Level Check

I recently acquired a 1953 Ford sedan. How does one check the differential gear oil level? I cannot see a plug to do that, only a plug at the very bottom for draining the oil.

Plug is located on the passenger side of the nest some call pumpkin a 3/8 ratchet will
remove the plug which is a recessed 3/8 square plug............
