41 Ford car rear axle does it take a washer between hub and nut

Yes, but make sure that fibre gasket is in the end of the hub before the thick steel washed and nut are assembled.

Yes, there is a fiber dust washer and then a lock washer and then the nut. The axle and drum MUST be clean and dry then torque to around 220 to 250 ft lbs. Re check torque after around 25 or so miles.

Sorry, but as John said the washer is a flat washer not a lock washer.
