ZZLEGENDS 1930 Model T roadster
One of the fun cars at the San Fernando Model A club swap meet today was Mark's (ZZLEGENDS) 1930 Model T roadster.
His car has a Model T roadster body on a 1930 Model A chassis. He wanted to use a 28/29 hood, so he had to raise the Model T body by putting a wooden sill under the body. He surprised me by telling me that the 1930 chassis was one that I sold him a few years ago. That chassis had been stored on it's side for years before I bought it and the rear end was frozen. When I purchased the chassis, in order to tow it the short distance home, I removed the keyways from the rear end so the hubs could turn freely. I towed it under 20 mph. Mark told me that he added oil to the rear end and by turning the drums/wheels he eventually got it freed up. Obviously he replaced the keyways because he drove the car to the swap meet today.
