1955 56 Crown Vicky question.

Is it true that the exterior trim on a 55 Crown Vicky is chrome plated and the 56 is stainless ?

I have a '56 Victoria (not a CV) and I don't know about the '55s but all the side moldings on mine are stainless. I don't know about the Crown, or tiara.

The plated pieces on mine are bumpers & guards, grille sections, parklamp housings & extensions, door handles, vent window frames, hood ornament, part of the side window frames, backup light housings and badges/nameplates. Not sure but the tail light housings might be plated too.

My 56 they are Stainless. The pieses around the rear seat are chrome plated.

Does anyone have a 1955 crown Vicky that can answer my question. I knew the 56 was stainless outer trim ,but need to know about the 55.

I've had both. The 55 & 56 outer trim are stainless. I can't think of anything that is stainless on the 56 Crown, that's not also stainless on the 55 Crown.
