generator alternator ?
We have a new powermaster alternator 6vt pos gr. in stock for a 8BA wide
belt pulley. I wonder if this would be a simple bolt on for a 337 V8. I ask first if any one has done this cause its a project removing all those belts plus using a step ladder its a F8...?? sam |

Re: generator alternator ?
Wasn´t the 337 generator the style bolted to the bracket instead of a strap like 8BA...so alarmbells ring right there...if it was a direct replacement ford would probably have used the 8BA generator...just my first thought.
I would start to try and estimate the offset between mounting bracket and pulley before doing anything. |

see is a bigger generator like 40 amps. I do know the powermaster has the mouning bracket like 59A and back, not the strap. I do know the powermaster was on a fresh EAB (1953) for run in on the test stand, fit and worked perfectly. Knowing Henry I should think they would use the 8ba setup. ? |
