Default wiring question

I put a new wiring harness on my 1950 F1 6 volt positive ground a while back but I think something is still not right. DOES the wire that goes thru the loop on the back of the ammeter go to the second from the top OR the third from the top on the circuit breakers? And is that wire HOT all the time? Thanks Barners

It should go from the starter solenoid batteryside through ammeter to the connection where the 2 breakers are connected togetter.
And its always hot.

Your circuit breaker has one position that has three wires going to it, one is green. The next position back is where you want to put your yellow ammeter lead.
