Rear motor mount question
I have two sets of rear motor mount bolts that are different in length (see picture). One is 1 5/16" long and the other is 1 7/16" long. Otherwise they are identical. Can someone explain the difference in lengths? I suppose one of the bolt could be used for something. but they did come with a bunch of model bolts and nuts I recently bought.

Re: Rear motor mount question
Hey Rusty! We found the same thing and I have started a collection. I believe I now have three different lenghts of rear motor mount bolts. I have not run across anything in the service bulletins yet but I suspect they were a result of using different suppliers in different parts of the country. I have some with different factory markings too.
Either way, they all look the same installed. |

I was a little worried that the longer ones might interfere with the flywheel. Maybe the ring gear is not where the bolts are. It is hard to see if there could be a problem with the longer bolts hitting the flywheel. I suspect the rear mounting bolts are not where the ring gear is (the widest part of the flywheel). Rusty |
