Clips needing to be identified
I have a pair of clips that I am not sure what they fit. I have had them many years and can't remember where I got them. I was hoping they were for a 28/29 pickup (bottom seatback brackets) but the holes don't line up with the ones in the seatback slats. I need seat clips for the bottom of a 28/29 CCPU backrest. I have a feeling the brackets in the picture might be for the top of the rear seat for a 28/29 tudor. Also, they look bent to me - are they? If someone would kindly identify them, I would appreciate it.

WRNDLN:
These are 28-29 Tudor Sedan top backrest clips. They rivet to the top of the rear seat backrest wood frame. Bratton's #35701 I made my own clips for my 1930 Tudor two years ago, with measurements taken from an unrestored back seat frame. Grant |

Re: Clips needing to be identified
Thanks, Grant. I appreciate you taking time to post a response. Do you know if they look right or are bent?

Re: Clips needing to be identified
WRNDLN: The bends look very correct. I had to adjust mine twice to get them to slip into the body clips located in the back inside rail where the back seat cuishen hangs . On the '30 there are two flat clips on the bottom of the frame that bolts to the body clips. I imagine the 28-29 are the same.Grant.

Re: Clips needing to be identified
Rusty, see my picture in post #3 on my 2-23-29 Tudor rear seat back clips. Mine also has the slots, as it was built during the changeover period.

Re: Clips needing to be identified
Tom,
Thanks for posting the link to the picture you posted sometime back. I guess that pretty much ices it - they are definitely 28/29 tudor upper rear seatback clips. I don't need them as I don't have a tudor, but it is nice to know what they are for, if someone needs an original set. Rusty Nelson |
