I am still on a quest to find plans for a Model A C-Cab delivery body like the ones used on the Model A UPS delivery trucks. There was an article on one in the November/December 2009 Restorer but doesn't go into much detail. Does anyone know of another article on them that goes in more detail? Or, does anyone know of someone that has a Model A C-Cab Delivery? I have tried contacting UPS for any information that they might have. They weren't much help at all. Thanks in advance. Ken Brekke

Awesome picture!!! Yes, that is what I am trying to get the body plans for. I keep running into dead ends on any leads. I have to admit though that the hunt is half the fun. Ken

Don't know!I think this came from Ahooga picture daily display or MAFCA picture of the day.

Did some more research, Found a great Article with names etc in the NOv/Dec 2009 Restorer page 26. The picture above is No.139 ups the article in restorer is no.108 truck. So there out there. Good Luck.

What year calendar picture? Read the writing on the picture. "UPS began in 1907......this month UPS celebrates 80 years." Looks like 1987 to me. Gotta smile!

Years ago...pre & post WWll my father was a foreman at Mothers Cakes & Cookies, located in East Oakland on E18 th street. In their fleet of delivery trucks were a few AA Van type trucks and several "A" C-cab trucks. Those that were sent to the bone yard..went just across the bridge in Alameda,CA. This bone yard went away about 30 years ago... I've always wondered what happened to that bone pile!! Their trucks were red with a large silver arrow and lettering on the side.

Nice pictures from Gary and Joop!! But after studying them I don't think I would ever want one as the entrance does not seem to be very spacious for my 5' 10" frame. However like I said some really nice pictures!! As many have said before me - my 2 cents worth.

I don't know if this will help, but why not contact Pleasantville Manufacturing at 716-753-2238. I know they manufacture different Model T and Model A Ford wood bodies. Perhaps they can point you in the right direction.

Probably not much different than my pickup. You just have to learn what foot to put in first and which way to turn and when. Kinda like using a shoe horn!

Yes, that is exactly what I am thinking of building. I talked with the shop that restored it and he said they didn't have any plans but used the old pieces for patterns. Here is a link to a couple more pictures of it. http://www.10thstreetautobody.com/pages/proj_05.html
I did contact Pleasantville also and they don't make or know a place that does make the bodies. I can get an idea from the pictures. But, never doing something like this before will make it a bit more challenging without drawings.

You might contact this guy. He has a T C-cab for sale on ebay. Item # 320854311065 He says he has worked on a lot of collector cars including some in the Henry Ford Museum. He also advertises for Model. Maybe he can help, maybe not.

I contacted the Ebay seller of the C-Cab Model T bodies awhile ago. He doesn't have any information on the C-Cab bodies for a Model A. I also looked into the Restorer magazine article from a couple of years ago and it didn't go into much detail. I heard there was another article several years ago in either the MAFCA Restorer or the MARC magazine but haven't found that one yet. The search is half the fun but equally frustrating. Thanks for the help. Any other leads would be appreciated.
