Does the gasket go between glass and metal ring, glass and reflector, or behind reflector?

Glass and reflector, keeps weather off bulb. Like tail light, between glass and cup rim.

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. My brother had helped me put them back on and when I put new reflectors in he'd put the gasket between the glass and the metal bezel/ring. Thank you Mr Puppy.
