Default Alloy vs cast iron inlet manifold weight comparison trivia

I changed the inlet manifold from cast iron to alloy today on my 221 cubic inch pilot 21 studder..

Was curious about the weight saving, so I weighed them.

Cast iron was 8.3 kilos or 18.29 pounds.

Alloy was 3.8 kilos or 8.38 pounds.

It was a lot easier to lift into place too.....
