Re: gas tank problems
I bought an old farmall tractor with enough crud in the tank to build a battleship. I took the tank off, pressure washed the crap out of it, then installed a tank screen filter. It only keeps the last 1/2 inch of fuel unavailable, which I can live with. Its been in since 2016, no problems yet.

The detergent was a low foam industrial alkaline cleaner that I manufacture in my business. With too much foam you may not be able to see what you are doing. I used the Meths to absorb the water quickly to prevent more rust from forming. SAJ in NZ Last edited by SAJ; 10-15-2021 at 03:29 AM. |
