Ralph I saw a late 40's to early 50's Hillman Minx entering the drive through at 4.19 on your one, that would not be something you saw every day in North America. We got lots of these Little English cars down here in NZ. They only had a 1200cc 4 banger side valve. Surprised that would sell over there with the fast roads as they would not "pull a sick sailor off your sister". My dad had the last incarnation of the same shape a 1300cc 4 banger OHV 1955 version (first year for OHV). He was a " Hillman man" most of life until he switched to Honda with the Japanese invasion.
These colourized films have been well done but the car horn sounds are a bit weak for the cars of the times and are more suited to later model "Jappas"

This was a cool video/movie. The next one on you tube after that, was the history of the Lincoln Highway, part of the PBS series and hosted by Drake Hokanson who wrote a book about the highway with extensive photos of what remains. Wyoming, Medicine Bow, Rawlins and the remnants are on my future road trip list.
In 1919, Lt Colonel Dwight D. Eisenhower had command of on Army convoy testing the utility of this coast to coast road. This event eventually led to Ike signing the bills for the Federal Interstate system in 1953 & 1956.
