Default 36 Fuel ‘sender help

Sponsored Links (Register now to hide all advertisements)
Hello folks
Trying to fix my fuel level sender on my 36. Took top off to clean the inside and points. A small brass washer fell out of the sender as shown in the photo. Not sure where this goes on the sender? Possibly in the center hole of the cover? If so, how do I reinstall it? Also, the small spring that is attached to the operating arm is broken. ( see photo) Is there some way to replace this?
Thanks
Ron
Edit- a second identical little brass disc fell out from the inside of the sender as I was cleaning it. Still can’t tell where these came from or if they can be reinstalled
