Default '35 tie rod clamps; tacked on??

In disassembling my front end, I discovered that the clamps on both ends of the tie rod had a tiny tack weld holding them to the rod. Is this stock? There were a lot of little things done to this car during a so-called "restoration" decades ago, so I'm never quite sure what's Henry. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure stock 35 had an adjustment of the tie rod on one end only, the other end was integral with the tie rod. Don Rogers, post a picture for us. (Mine sure isn't stock in this regard.) Lawson

NOT a stock OEM assembly technique.

Detonator, I believe that at least one tie rod supplier to Ford in 1935 tacked the end clamps to the rod. I also believed that they were tacked in only one place on each clamp. Here's a drawing showing the practice on a 36 drag link end.

Thanks...mine were tacked at both clamps, and no, it wasn't a hillbilly/bird crap/bubblegum weld. If it was an arc weld, it was pretty small and clean.

Some of the tie rod clamps on my original '35's are tack welded to the rod.
