Default H.A.M.B. postings

Trying to post on the H.A.M.B. but can't figure out how to do it. I thought I'd post there about wanting a 60HP fan as I've had no luck here. All help appreciated.

Do you have an account already for the HAMB? I just ran a user search on the HAMB for username Lawson Cox and nothing came back.

I thought I did but maybe not. The website is somewhat difficult to navigate for someone with my limited technological skills.

You know what, Lawson? ME TOO! I quit cold going over there for the same reason. And that's what is going to happen HERE too, if the Boss changes things to make posting pictures EASIER. That's why I wish you would quit asking the Boss to make picture-posting easier here on The 'Barn. Coop

Click on Jalopy Journal, when the cover page comes up (today it's a story about a 32 Ford chassis) in the upper right hand corner there will be s symbol that you click on that will let you register. Once you join click on remember me and every time you click on you will be allowed to post.

I too, was kind of put off by the new software when it was implemented on the H.A.M.B.
I soon grew to prefer it over the previous version for several reasons. First, as mentioned, posting pictures is easier, second, I don't have to constantly keep clearing out my PM's because they are full, and I really appreciate the "Like" feature. There are other things as well, but those are the major ones for me.

As the old Alka-Selzer commercial used to say : "Try, it, you'll like it".

I finally got on the HAMB, posted a note, and now I can't figure out how to find the posting again to see if I have any responses. Oh well. Not to worry.

Lawson,

You originally registered as "Lawson Cox" on the HAMB in 2009 and made several posts between then and your last visit in 2014.

You've now registered again, this time as "Lawson Cox 11" however the only place you've placed your ad is in the New Member Introduction area which could easily not be seen by many.

Use this link if you want to post in the classified section:

https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/ and login in the top right corner.

Then scroll down to the Marketplace section, select "Wanted" and then "Post New Thread" (in red on the righthand side).

Good luck, any more problems let us know.

Yeah Randy, I'm now in. (Even a blind pig finds an acorn every once in a while) just trying to find my way around.

Me either, but I think I have found s fan I've been looking for, which was my reason for posting on the HAMB. Someone said it was because I posted as a new member or something like that. I don't know. As I have said, I'm technologically challenged.

Counselor...No SARCASM involved! I was merely stating facts. However, pointing-out that there is no letter "h" in your spelling of the word could be interpreted as "tongue-in-cheek sarcasm"! Coop

As I mentioned above it is located in the introduction section normally used by new members for that purpose:

I understand how everyone feels,,,,,,and I’m not anywhere near a computer guy .

Please don’t get angry,,,,,,but,,,,the Hamb is a hundred times easier than the Barn .
And many guys are here on this site from there.
They just don’t post much here,,,it’s difficult,,,,,and not much interaction between members it seems .
There are some great guys here,,,,and I have a lot of respect for them and their knowledge.
I have had business dealings with some guys,,,,,honest people,,,,,,super helpful.
I just usually read the posts here and very rarely comment,,,,,don’t want to get beat up,,,LoL.

I couldn't guess how many hours I've spent over the years learning some of these websites. Just when you start to feel comfortable, the software will be changed. I used to be on the HAMB everyday, but since they changed software, not as much anymore; which is sad, because I always liked the HAMB. I just don't have as much time anymore.
