8BA con rod nuts
The connecting rod cap nuts in my 8BA didn't have any form of lock washers, should they?
What is the best way reassemble them? robert1936 |

Re: 8BA con rod nuts
I always use 3/8 self locking nuts like is used on the Chevys.

Re: 8BA con rod nuts
There is no need for any lockwasher or other "locking" method if the studs are correctly stretched. The ARP nuts for small block Chevy with 3/8 studs work fine. Of course, the stock Ford hardware is completely acceptable.
