Re: Replacement 6V horn
I do not know if these would be options for you, but the 35-37 pickup horns that mounted on the outside are small enough to go elsewhere...brackets to mount them would be very simple to make. I have a set of NOS 6-v Sparton horns out in the shop somewhere that are not trumpet type...I do not think they are Ford, but are certainly smaller and might fit in a variety of places where they would not be casually visible.

Re: Replacement 6V horn
After some thought I decided to use my trumpet horns. After I cleaned them, painted them, and redid the mounting brkt. They look good.

Well done! You're right, they do look good, I'll bet they sound good too.

Re: Replacement 6V horn
Factory designers didn't put the dual horns in as a focal point. Rather than detract, they added their small beauty as a final touch. A beautiful blue hardtop body is the focal point. The classic red tail light is the accent. Henry's men put it together with the entire field of vision in mind.

Re: Replacement 6V horn
The horns were painted black originally and blended in with the inner fenders.
Paint your block a brighter green than the dull original color, and fit some polished alloy heads, and intake manifold. This will help make the engine the focal point. |
