Hello Charlie,

Here is the only one that I know about: http://www.wescottsauto.com/index.html

It is:
Wescott's Auto
19701 SE Hwy 212
Damascus OR 97089
1-800-523-6279

I was going to try to go there this summer, but have not made it there yet. You can check it out and let me know, or maybe another Ford Barner know something about them.

There are several good parts houses on line. Order a catalog from 3 0r 4 of them and compare prices. Order a small item from each to compare service.

Hi Ben, Hi Glenn,
tks a lot for your replies.
I bought some parts from Bratton's in the past (good things and a very good service).
One of my daughters will be at Portland for a week and for that reason I was looking for a nearest part shop than Bratton's that's on the other part of the country. Unfortunately looks like the 3 biggest shops are in the East Coast (Snyder's - Mac's and Bratton's).
If thet aren't at Oregon, maybe in California just to reduce delivery time and cost freights.
Cheers and tks again.

Bert's is in Denver and only charges actual shipping costs. They also have many good used original parts.

Also, Sacramento Vintage Ford, in California. I haven't used them, so can't say anything about service.

Bert's phone is 800-321-1931.

I don't know of a website for Bert's and they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. I have a feeling Steve and Phil are much too busy to host a website.

Bert's website is http://modelastore.com/

Sacramento Vintage Ford's website is http://www.vintageford.com/

Both are great places to do business with.

Tom, you're probably right--but Steve does have a site at www.modelastore.com

The catalog request page shows the 2005-2006 catalog.

Charlie,
Per your statments, I would not hesitate to contact Sacramento Vintage Ford of Sacramento. Close to Oregon and I have found them to be competent/friendly!
If you have time, call them and order a FREE catalogue. They have the best catalogue, in my opinion, with stock and the best SPEED equipment section of any parts shop. FIY: 1(888) 4BANGER. You are right on the money about shipping costs killing us all !! Good luck .

I have used Sacramento Vintage and have had no problems with their service or quality. Can't beat their wire shop.

J Franklin, What do you know about Floyds Model A Parts? That is very close to Portland, and I will be near there in about 2 weeks.

Floyd's is run by Janet Hickel, who took over the business when her husband died a few years ago. She's knowledgeable and carries a good variety of things. She's about 20 miles north of Portland, just off I-5.

Hi guys,
many thanks for all your help and advices.
Someone has any link for Floyds Model A Parts ? Looks very interesting.
I have already made the part list I need, so I would like to compare prices betwen shops.
Sacramento Vintage looks nice, but prices are appox 20% higher than in the East Coast. I think the final price including the post (east to west) will be cheaper than these guys.!
Cheers,
Charlie

Floyd's doesn't have a web site or email; you have to call her, which is difficult in your case. I would suggest Bratton's or Bert's, both reputable shops, and you won't be disappointed with their merchandise, even if shipping is a little more.

Charlie, being in Argentina, you're closer to the East Coast USA than the West Coast USA. I don't know if this is true, but shipping might actually be cheaper for you from Bratton's or another East Coast supplier than a West Coast shop.

As someone mentioned, Bert's in Colorado (Central US) does not mark up shipping, so that might be a good source for you too.

Both of these companies have good products and stand by their quality. Not all suppliers are like that.

Default Ford Model A Parts - USA West coast

Hi to everybody.
Many thanks for your replies and comments.
Dear 700 RPM, thanks for your comment. You are right, the East Coast shops are nearest to Argentina than the West Coast shops.
But, as I mentioned in an earlier post, one of my daugthers will be at Oregon in early September and for that reason I was thinking in some west coast shop.
I guess I will buy parts at Bratton's and ask to send to her hotel at Portland.

Cheers and many thanks to all for the information. I learned a lot.
