Gotta have metric and standard pliers and adjustable wrenches. [emoji23]

I think I'll go with Jackson or Larry...A friend in need is a friend indeed.

To answer nkaminar I rebuilt my distributor completely with modern points and condenser, I bought four sets of points and condensers to have spares. The condenser was bad, checked the others they were all bad. I went with an electronic distributor that used an old Ford case so it looks stock with the spark advance stock too. No more problems. If I were to do it different with the modern point conversion I would keep the stock condenser.https://modelastore.com/electronic-i...roduct_id=4198

Convoy? What’s that? .model a ford highly reliable maintained correctly and can keep up with modern traffic if you do some performance improvement..most guys use a tours ‘roadside seminar’ to get something done they’ve neglected..

I’ve been the broken car and was lucky to have others help me out. And have been able to help someone in the group with their troubles. Everyone learns something. Never leave someone behind.

My experiences with "modern" points/condenser persuaded me to go back to originals. More dependable and easier to adjust. The better vendors have replacement condensers that will last.

At the recent Orange County Pancake BreakfastI found a flat tire when it was time to leave. The Harbor Area MARC jumped in and looked like a well lubricated pit crew at the Indy 500. Even tho I had a spare, we decided to use a tire and wheel a member won in the raffle so I didn't have to remove my trunk. The red wheel made my Town Sedan look kinda of Christmasy.
Thanks Guys and Gals.

Maybe he was a traveling salesman?

I carry a couple of sizes of Knipex Plier Wrenches that eliminate the need for most of those wrenches and pliers.
