Re: Waldrons exhaust system (Aluminized Steel)
I have aluminized steel exhaust that was installed over 25 years ago on a 69 Camaro SS that still looks brand new. I took it back to the exhaust shop a couple years ago to have a small repair done on one of the hangers, and the guy that did the original installation was surprised how great it still looked. I put about 1500 to 2000 miles a year on it. Rain or shine.

Re: Waldrons exhaust system (Aluminized Steel)
I made the mistake of painting an aluminized system many years ago with VHT flat black exhaust paint. By the end of summer it was getting chalky and pealing. These days I do my ccccustom exhaust in bare steel and have it professionally hot coated. It looks good after lots of miles. I do have aluminized on my driver 40 with about 6000 miles on it and the only place there's a little rust is where they welded on the hangers.
