Default 41 stock 6v headlight sealed beam

I’m assuming they make an LED version of this sealed beam has anyone converted?

I'm not aware of a 6V LED fully sealed beam unit, however I use semi-sealed beams here in New Zealand i.e. with replaceable 6V H3 quartz-halogen bulbs and am very happy with the results. I have tried several LED bulb options without success. Even ones recommended by a 'Barner' some time ago didn't prove to be suitable. Hopefully someone might have a lead on a better LED solution?

Hi Meric42, fellow Kiwi here, love your 42. I flew down to Christchurch/Oamaru around 1988 with a friend and drove a 42 Coupe back to Auckland. It wasn't mine but I ended up doing a lot of work on the car so it became a favourite model. I have a 54 Victoria, where did you get your sealed beams and H3 bulbs? Cheers Geoff Kiwi

Hella makes an H4 halogen headlight housing that will take a 6v led halogen style bulb. To my knowledge, no one makes a sealed beam 6v led headlight.

I’ve had so many led bulbs, household and automotive, fail. I just can’t trust Chinese electronics for my headlights.

A tried and true method is sealed beam headlights from NAPA or OReillys and headlight relays. My 6v headlights are as bright as every modern car now.

Found at the local NAPA sealed Beam H6006-N. I really like the increase in intensity I liked it so much I went back purchased a second one for the passenger side.
It is rated for 6.4 V 50/40W and contains a Halogen bulb. We will see how it holds up
