Default Gauge reflection i windshield

Has anyone else experienced the speedometer/gauge cluster in a 1949 coupe reflecting in the windshield at night?? It's really distracting and I can't figure out how to eliminate it. If I cover the cluster, the image goes away but as there is no way of controlling the gauge lights I need some advice.

I can barely see the gauges in my ‘50.....the speedometer is the one easiest to see.....have you done something to brighten the lights and do you wear glasses?......I have had an issue with my glasses reflecting the dash lights in trailer trucks I’ve driven over the last 40 yrs. I would think there is some way to put a dimmer on your dash lights......Mark

I get reflections from the gauges in my '39 p/u.I've never been able to figure out a way to eliminate it. But I don't drive that much at night so I just live with it.

I don't remember whether I had reflections in my '49, but for just general info, many models had a colored plastic lens insert that over time darkened to almost no light coming through, and subsequently were either removed or fell to dust, allowing way too much light. You might investigate that possibility, and make adjustments accordingly.

I have NEVER had a vehicle that I didn't have trouble with the dash lights at some time of the day. Just something we all have to live with I reckon.
