I purchase all of mine from a local glass shop. He makes it out of the proper thickness (nominal .250"), unlike Sanders. And, a ton cheaper than Sanders.
Mike Driskell sells the kits to etch the logo / date codes. Easy to do and quite reasonably priced at that.

I do like Mike does. MUCH cheaper, and usually quicker.

You will not get the black edge unless you go to Sanders.

For many years I have used Street Rod Glass in Riverside CA. 951-789-8870 I always get my side and rear glass tempered. They have several color choices. Excellent quality and service. Quick shipper.

The problem I have here getting glass cut locally is for the roll up glass and vent glass. No one can seem to put a smooth straight edge on the exposed edges.

X2 on Street Rod Glass. Did the windshield and both door windows for my '39 p/u. Quality work, fair prices, and reasonable turn around. AND he is a real hot rodder.

I have done it both ways.
My local glass shop was over 500 bucks for my first sedan delivery project.
My second sedan delivery project was a little over 400 from Bob's Classic Glass in Oregon.
I had a very long wait but I ordered ahead of time knowing there was a covid backlog.
I try and patronize local shops but prices in Calif are out of hand.

It's all flat glass so any good auto glass shop can provide you with the proper sized glass. I made patterns from 1/8" Luan plywood and fitted it to the opening and gave the glass shop the patterns and they turned out great. Got the "Bugs" from Mike Driscol to complete the job.

I made a Fixture one time with a .012" milling blade to create my own black edged glass The blade was to cut the center safety layer. It worked but took WAAAYYYY too long.

Now I do as others have said.

So sorry that number didn't work, I looked through my receipts but can't find the receipt and I don't want to suggest other Connecticut glass places without knowing it's the place I used. I will keep looking.
