Default 1936 Phaeton - Engine cowl louvre (1) missing

Thoughts on how to source a single louvre missing from the cowl ?

Louvre in the cowl of a '36? Perhaps it is terminology, but there were no louvres there to be missing. On top of that, your spelling is that of a famous art museum in Paris, home of Mona Lisa. Still, there aren't any louvers in a '36 cowl either. Do you mean louvers in the front fender inner panels?

He's talking about the louvered side panels in the engine compartment that bolt up to the fender. I can't remember the correct term, but I think they're often referred to as inner fender panel.

I don’t know how else to describe the louvered portion of the engine cowling / hood.

Louvers are located between the three horizontal bright steel trim pieces on the hood.

As these are punched into the sheet metal during manufacture, the small attachment points are prone to failure and one fell off during a recent road trip.

Happy to purchase the whole panel if needed, but would prefer to source the individual louver / part.

Those are hood sides. The hood is comprised of four pieces, two top pieces, and two side pieces. Both are unique to left and right.

But again, you're referring to hood sides.

The cowl is an integral part of the body and ends at the firewall. Everything forward of the firewall had its own name without 'cowl' included in that name and they are not permanently attached to the body, such as the hood.

Jacques, don't make like it doesn't matter how you describe it. Without correct terminology and without pictures, we might as well be doing the Who's on first? routine.

Is one of the Louvres like shown in this picture missing on your Hood?
If so, this particular Hood is for sale on ebay at the moment.

19 gauge sheet metal, make it. it has a gentle curve. cost 22 cents plus time. if you can't weld, there are lot of people who will do it. i would make the part over sized to make the connection keyed in more above and below, repaint.
