Here are links to the original ads which included lots of pictures. I'm surprised these weren't referred to earlier. Pictures of the condition the parts were received in would help to eliminate a lot of the speculation that has occurred.

Lightbulb Not so ...

Why should pictures have to be posted ?

No one was privy to the phone conversation (if any) or complete
email correspondence (if any) between the Seller & Buyer.

The Buyer & Seller both stated their position.

Based on what I read - I agree with the Seller ....

Wow...it appears that "the seller" doesn't seem to do much more on this site than......SELL! History of seller's posts points rather exclusively, towards "FOR SALE" use only of the FordBarn. DD

So ....

If he was indeed a Bad Seller then this issue probably would
have come up before ....

Just an opinion.....There are several pictures that appear to be pretty descriptive......The parts in question are 67 years old and used.......If I am reading all this right, a price was quoted, and the buyer must have felt it was fair, else why would he send the money ?..... If he started working on the parts, after receiving them, do I have this right ?...... that would seem to indicate acceptance on the buyers part. ......Iam NOT a body person, but I do know, that when you have surface rust, and you start working a part that may have looked good when you started, you often find rust through as you are working the part. Crank a little " He said, She said " into this, and this is what you get.

I purchased parts for my 46 coupe from this person and talked with him on the phone more then once. I think that his prices are a little above average but I still bought them. My problem was that I thought that he was more of a gorilla when removing them but that's not the point. In my opinion he should refund 100% of the money if the buyer is not happy. Like everything we have to pay for shipping and that sure does hurt.

Just my 2 cents

I should have stayed with my original take on the issue: Sour Grapes. When you hear a lopsided story, you gotta know the other story will usually have new information.

Those parts in the pictures look they are in very decent shape in my opinion. Which doesn't mean a whole lot. But what did they look like after removal? That's the question.

I'll stick with my original comment. The buyer used the parts on his car and now he owns them. It's evidence that they were good enough to use. The seller owes nothing to this buyer. Maybe the seller should show up to the buyers house with a torch, repossess the part by cutting it out of the car, and then give the buyer back his money. Problem solved.

George,

Not necessary ...

You have made your position clear.

If I needed parts - I would not hesitate to buy from you.

And this is a problem? Many of the salvage/junk yards I've used through the years were in the business to SELL and for the ones that kept the old cars, I'm glad. There's many aspects to our hobby.

Fellas,
All deals on the Ford Barn are at your own risk.
He said this / he said that and now choosing up sides opinions.
Buyer and seller work it out or not privately.
