Default Valve Spring Retainers

Recently purchase a NOS box of Valve spring retainers for the later V8 I thought? When I got them home the outside diameter is 1 & 3/16th". I notice that was wider that the originals, other than that they're identical. Did Ford use different width springs in the later flatheads and if so would it hurt to run these on the smaller valve spring? Someone thought maybe for a 6 Cly. or tractor? Can't find anything on box but FoMoCo.

Are they stampings? If so, likely they are '32-'33 V8 spring retainers (the springs themselves were also larger than the '34 and up versions).

No stampings but these appear to be for the later straight valves with keepers not the mushroom tipped valves. Thanks
