Default Better brake rod return springs.

I bought the earlier type return springs / anti rattlers for my 1931 and fronts went on great but rears are tough to conform or reach nub on rod. Would the later coil looking springs work better or easier to install? I work on this issue for awhile and give up and go back to later for last couple months,no matter how much I bend or reconform I am always about an inch away from rod nub so I give up.

Are you putting them on so they push back on the rods from the front of the nub? If not, that would mean taking off the clevis to install them then resetting the length.
