I’m thinking about having my Sport Light rechromed but I’m not sure what’s
involved in taking is apart and also reassemble. Anyone know how easy or
Difficult? I did manage to rewire and it works great. Looks like lots of gears!

Probablly not much help to you but still some good info on Sportlites. Ron helped me out with some parts I needed for my Spot Light.

Not sure where you're located but our platers, what's left of them, want exorbitant amounts to rechrome small parts. What we did for some fog lamps, (as an option) was to paint the main lamp bodies (car) body color and polished out the lens retaining rims and had those chromed. They look like they came with the car. Perhaps just the arm/ handle could be replated to save cost.

All I want to do is disassemble the ligh and send the prices off for rechroming.
The work Ron does is awesome but I doubt he’s interested in just a partial restoration.
We’ll see
