Even though i have never worked the assembly line, i was always fascinated by them. In the early 60's, i went with my dad and gramps to Ford rouge tour. You got to go thru everything and that leads to this picture i drew in the 7th grade. lol Entered in Mi. state fair and got first place.

The line I was on would be much slower ,like push the car to the next station , I had a Indian guy Punjabi type Indian was about to sit his drivers licence so I said you may as well shift the cars ,We took of down the factory and it looked like he was not going to stop at the end so I grabbed the hand brake and with a squeal of tyres we came to a holt ,of course all the assembly workers heads all popped up, we slide down in the seats the foolishness of youth he he .

I never worked on an assembline, but I had a friend that worked in the fisher body plant in Jamesville WI. He made twice as much as the rest of us putting Hoods on Chevy's. So he was always good for a few rounds of beers.

I bought the Rivethead book from Amazon for a penny plus $3.99 shipping and just finished reading it. Bottom line? Assembly line work drove him insane
