Correct toe board 1936 pickup
Can someone help me determine which is the correct toe board for my 1936 1/2 ton pickup? I have both styles and I am finding conflicting information online.
Thanks |

B without question. It's what I have in my 35. I have seen A but not sure what it's for.

That’s what I was thinking. I believe A is for big trucks but I keep seeing it advertised as 35 and 36 and B for later years. I just wanted to confirm that B is correct. Now I just need to find the pedal plate for toeboard B. Does anybody have one they’d sell? |

Question: On B, where is the hole for the starter switch?
Shouldnt that be between the pedal holes and below the steer shaft hole? |

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
There isn’t one in that generic picture I found online. The attached picture is my toeboard and it does have the hole for the starter switch.

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
"B" is definitely later than 35 or 36. "B" has a hole for a headlight dimmer but no hole for 35-36 starter button. Also the foot rest hole is missing. See images of 35-36 toe board.

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
So is my toe board not correct for my ‘36 pickup?
Don, in the drawing of the toe board, why would there be a void or passage hole between the toe board and the trans cover? |

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
Early 35 transmissions had a throwout bearing that was greased from a fitting on the transmission inspection cover. the void in the early toe board and transmission cover allowed access to that fitting. Your toe board doesn't have that void and your transmission cover shouldn't have one either.

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
The reproductions are based off of a 38-39 Board (they lack the starter switch hole and have a hole for a dimmer switch) Otherwise they fit, as I am using a NOS 38-39 in my 36 and I added the starter switch hole. . There is no pedal plate used on these to my knowledge.

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
B is correct. I have one in case anyone is looking for one. I also have a pedal plate but it has been butchered a bit. I can't post pictures here.

Re: Correct toe board 1936 pickup
If I cannot source an original pedal plate, I will create tooling to make one for my pickup, with the option to make more if anyone is in need of one.
