Just acquired a vacuum wiper motor for my 34 Ford 5 Window Coupe. Looking for photos and/or directions on how to install the motor. Also, I have the original header panel for the coupe.

If I remember correctly, the only thing that holds it in there is the fine threaded nut on the outside . . . anybody know if I've got this right (has only been 45 years since I took one off!). Given the "fun" I had with them back in the day, I would say to hook it up to the engine (without putting it in the car), just to ensure that it actually articulates as it should. There is no need to install it - only to find out that it doesn't actually work well.

There are 2 locating pins cast on the body. They line up with the 2 punched holes on the body .The bowl goes up and the vacuum port and speed regulator are on the right. The hose connects to the fitting off the regulator. As B&S stated there is a nut to secure it on the collar of the shaft. There should be a chrome bezel w/ angled rubber washer that goes between the nut and body. Here is a pic of how it is on my '33. You can use a vacuum or gas hose for a grommet and cut it then a SS washer. I got the wedge rubber grommet at the Early Ford Store.
