Re: Hydrostatic fuel gauge innaccurate
Deuce Roadster, are you still in possession of some of the gauge fluid? If so, would you be willing to part with enough to do my gauge? I am working on a '32 BB truck for a farm family who bought it new, way back when. It's a typical farm truck, beat to hell! I would really like to talk to you about how you repaired the gauge also. I'm in Pendleton (Or). Send me a message if you'd like. Thank you sir!

Re: Hydrostatic fuel gauge innaccurate
BoxCar, I looked online and this is the same fluid from Classic & Exotic. Sounds like they are winding down their business and selling inventory through Straight Eight. I used the Classic & Exotic fluid but the color has faded after a couple of years and my car is always stored on a garage so it is not out in the sunlight often.

The original [tetra-bromo-ethane] liquid was tinted with 'Durant scarlet dye'. when your repop liquid fades out, try adding a drop or two of cochineal red food colouring....
