I heard that Oregon Plating recently closed but if this is wrong, I have used them in the past but be prepared for a long wait and they were quite costly. I was not aware that Eastside did chrome anymore but they are reputable. Try Pacific NW Plating in Vancouver. They do good work, are reasonable and must be slow because they just plated a set of bumpers for me and had it done the next day which is unheard of.

HI; I think that the Oregon DEQ has successfully shut down all Chrome plating in Oregon. Rumor!! Plating is being shipped to Idaho/ Washington. Remember this when you vote! Current 'leadership' is responsible for jobs/ business leaving the State, and our new business Gross Sales Tax.. Newc

Same idiots in Oregon as in California. At least Oregon gas is cheaper and you have better roads.

We have them Iowa too, the laws can change but it depends on who you are and how much grease you put on the wheel.

As far as Minnesota goes, I have had very good results with North Star Plating in Brainerd.

This is verbatim from their website : "We're enthusiasts. We know that the look of a bumper, trim piece, or hub cap is either perfect or it isn't. It either matches or it doesn't. So we have experienced, specialized team members who work hard at every stage of the process to get your chrome parts looking precisely flawless. And before we send it back to you, we inspect each and every part thoroughly. If it's not pristine, we strip off the plating and start over. From hot rods to muscle cars, vintage restorations to modern trucks, if you need something replated...

North Star Plating is your home for chrome."

The only drawback is that it takes a while, but a little planning makes that merely a minor annoyance.

Let's not paint everyone with the same broad brush.

I kinda figured that, but didn't want anybody to get the wrong idea about the availability of quality plating in Minnesota.
