TonyM - The 11 months was a killer , and I nearly lost interest ( NOT ).
I really think that the guys at the shippers yard in Orange CA. really let me down with how long they took to apply for an application for a new Title.

They first told me that the original guy from the Transport department who came an inspected the numbers, never went ahead with Title, and 3 months later they decided to try again. ( Go figure )

52Merc - We use Harrys Classics in Sydney, and he does all the customs and clearances from OZ. If you need his info, just PM me

Pete

Good stuff Pete. My bro, & fellow Fbarner, has his '35 3W sitting in my garage in Melbourne. I never tire of the elegant body style. Although it has been a battle over the past year correcting various mechanical issues, we are not far from driving the black beauty. All the best with your project.

Check out the front spring set up. Flat bar wrapped around the main leaf with chains and two springs added in the middle with adjusters. I have never seen this before.
On the rear spring it has the same but has 3 springs in the middle.

Congrats on your acquisition, Pete. Very interesting suspension system. Looks like someone was trying to stiffen a tired spring????? That seems like a lot of effort for a questionable outcome. Maybe they didn't see the broken shackle . . which wouldn't have helped matters.

Anyway, great car! Good luck with your efforts and be sure to keep us posted.
