Default 1947 Super deluxe horn and relay location?

I am looking for a picture or two of the original location of the horn relay and horn(s?). Mine came without a horn relay and some cheep aftermarket horn activated by a switch under the dash. I have found the wire that goes up the steering column and the horn ring works. What type of horn did it come with?
Thanks for any info!
John

Hi John

Attached are some photos of the horns and relay location on my 47. My car has the trumpet horns and the relay mounted under the hood by the fender. Later 47 cars and in 48 the horns were located in front of the radiator behind the grille, the relay on the firewall, and they were the shell type projector horns.

The horn relay is part of the horn assembly...

Check up by the voltage regulator (right side looking from front of car). If there are 2 holes close together it is likely yours had the projector horns Cody is talking about. Those holes mount the relay that you can see on his trumpet horns. No holes will mean trumpets. My 48 is supposed to have the projector clam shell type but I put the trumpet style horn on mine. 1) I like them, 2) My car was in parts when I got it and came with a really nice set of trumpets taken out of a wreck as well as the original ones. Photo attached of my firewall showing the 2 holes. Your car is likely to still have the mounting holes for trumpet horns on the inner fender even if yours came factory with the later clam shell type.
