Default Stipe shocks

Big day tomorrow as I start to put 4 new Stipe shocks on my roadster. Please fill me in with suggestions/things to avoid and things to watch for. Be pleased to hear from you. Bill

Took me a couple hours to install mine, I did have everything ready to go though. They are very nice shocks. I used V8 dog bones on mine, a lot quicker installation. I did the front first, truck on jack stands with wheels off. They are very easy to install, took 8 months to get them, ordered last November.

It's a no-brainer install, "springerpete". Just be sure that all four of the filler plugs face towards the center of the car. I have encountered "restored" Model A's, where the plugs were behind the shock absorber arms, meaning facing outwards. Not good. Why someone would mount the shocks on the frame and know that the filler plugs were located behind the shock arms (i.e., unreachable to refill) is beyond me. You can't fix stupid.

The shocks come with installation instructions, as where the go on the car.

The springs should be greased for the shocks to work correctly.

Thanks, folks. I ordered mine last mid September while I was in their shop. Very nice folks but very busy with the production of all their products.

You can't go wrong as the drive square is notched on one corner for the arm bolt. Once the arms are on, they tell you which corner each shock goes on.
